  • Access to "PREP" - Pediatric specific question bank starting PGY1

  • Med Study Pediatric subscriptions starting PGY2

  • Most current MKSAP question bank and entire book set starting PGY3

Vacation Days and Continuing Medical Education (CME) Days​​​​:

  • 15 "working" days per year (traditionally thought of as Mondays-Fridays)​​

    • Offered during elective rotations​

    • Coordinate with days off and vacations with Program Coordinator and Chief Residents

    • Be sure to ask our residents or our Program Coordinator if you have more detailed questions regarding the policies

  • Flexible Holiday Block: 6 days off surrounding your holiday of choice ​

  • Five CME meeting days for PGY2 and above

    • Great opportunity to attend conferences and other educational outlets

    • Expenses and time away for paper/poster presentations at national conferences, as approved by the GME office

  • Monthly wellness 1/2 days (when not on an inpatient rotation) to be used for doctor's appointments, teeth cleaning, etc.​

Competitive Salaries (Effective July 2024):

  • PGY1 $65,603
    PGY2 $68,307
    PGY3 $70,519
    PGY4 $72,839

  • Note: physician residents are paid every other week and will receive first paycheck (for incoming PGY1s) at the end of orientation. Salaries are subject to change yearly, please visit the GME site for the most updated benefits. 

CME + Wellbeing

  • $1800 GME Wellbeing Stipend provided yearly

  • USMLE Step 3 and COMLEX level 3 paid for if taken within your first year of residency

  • R1 - $750 for books/journal subscriptions

    • Most residents use this money to cover question banks while studying for Step 3/COMLEX 3​

    • Can also use additional money for educational apps and everyday essentials like stethoscopes!

    • Must have approval from Program Coordinator (helps determine if it will be covered or not)

  • R2 and greater - $2,500 per year for books and CME

    • Not only are you promised this amount, if you are doing research projects or presenting at national conferences, can apply for additional money through GME office!​

    • Great for textbooks, apps, additional educational certifications or educational classes

    • New stethoscopes may also be purchased!
